Renewable Energy Engineer | Solar Business Lead | Energy Professional
Eng. Sherida Josia Magomere is a Renewable Energy Engineer with 5+ years of experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, technical sales, project management and solar PV solutions. She holds a Master of Engineering in Sustainable Energy Engineering from DIT and a BSc in Renewable Energy Engineering from UDOM.
She currently serves as Solar Business Lead at Raha Energies, leading business development for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects. Her work includes market development, client engagement, energy assessments, technical & financial proposals, and delivery of solar solutions that improve energy reliability, reduce costs and advance sustainability.
She is a Registered Graduate Engineer (ERB), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and holds NOSHC Level I certification. Her technical expertise covers solar PV and hybrid systems, energy efficiency, project management, system design, installation, commissioning and performance monitoring.
Sherida is actively engaged in advancing the energy profession. She has served as Secretary of the Energy Efficiency Club at DIT, participated in the GWNET SADC Energising Women Mentorship Programme, volunteered as a UNDP Student Ambassador, and is a member of TAREA, TEA, WIECA and AEE. She currently serves as Secretary of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Tanzania Chapter.
