OUR HISTORY
Institution of Engineers Tanzania –Women Chapter Is the non-Profit Organization established under IET to foster the development of women in engineering fields. Our diverse membership includes Women engineers in all sectors, Women Technicians, and University students pursuing Engineering degrees.
IET-WC provides plenty of resources to assist women in engineering and encourage young girls to pursue STEM subjects and consider Engineering in their careers. IET-WC offers Empowerment programs to women across the country and indulges themselves in volunteering in different community development projects. We have also established TAWECE as a platform for all women in engineering and other sectors as a means of educating, sharing experiences, ways, and means of overcoming challenges facing women in our sectors, sharing opportunities, foster STEM education.
OBJECTIVES
Our Mission is to ensure more women practice engineering, and easy responsive services to Women and young girls committed to growing through creating future hope for women, young girls, and their communities by helping them progress professionally, build their skills, empower them, and provide resources to enhance interest in STEM subjects.
