The Institution of Engineers Tanzania Women Chapter (IETWC) Main goal is to represent Female engineers in Tanzania and is committed to promoting engineering education, professional development, and innovation in the country. One of the activities undertaken by IETWC is school visits, which involve Female engineers and other professionals visiting schools to share information about engineering and related fields with girls.
During a school visit, Female engineers and other professionals may give presentations or interactive sessions on various topics related to engineering, such as the different types of engineering, how engineering affects our daily lives, and the career opportunities available in engineering. They may also talk about the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and encourage girls to pursue studies in these areas.
The goal of school visits by IETWC is to inspire and motivate girls to pursue careers in engineering and related fields. By engaging with them and sharing their knowledge and experiences, engineers and other professionals can help girls understand the importance of engineering and its impact on society. Additionally, school visits raises awareness about the role of IETWC in promoting engineering education and professional development among girls in Tanzania.
